Day 1: Arrive in Chennai
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel.
(Rooms are to be booked from 12noon to facilitate immediate check in)

| Day 2: Chennai – Mahabalipuram 60 kms, 01 hr |
|
|
After breakfast at hotel, city sightseeing tour visiting the National Museum, drive through old Madras passing through some important buildings built by the British. Visit St. Mary's church inside the Fort St. George, drive through Marina beach later visit saint Thomas Cathederal and Kapalesswarar temple.
Afternoon depart by surface for Mahabalipuram, on arrival check in at hotel.

Later sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram visiting shore temple, Arjuna's Penance, Krishna Mandapam, Five Rathas and beach.

| Day 3: Mahabalipuram - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram (64 km) |

After breakfast at hotel, excursion to Kanchipuram city is known, as the “The Golden City” is 85 kms West of Madras, was the Capital of Successive Hindu Dynasties, is one of the seventh sacred cities of Hinduism, with history going back to 3 rd century B C. This is one of the seven sacred places of India. Kalidasa had extolled this holy center as Nagareshu Kanchi. It is sacred for both Saivites and Vaishanavites.

| Day 4: Mahabalipuram – Tanjore |

After breakfast at hotel, we later drive to Tanjore. On the way a visit to Shiva Temple at Chidambaram and temple at Kumbakonam. After arrival we check in at your hotel. Rest the day is free at leisure.

| Day 5: Tanjore – Trichy |
|
|
After breakfast at hotel, afternoon you visit Thanjavoor and then you drive to Brahadeswara Temple.
Afternoon depart for Trichy en-route visit various attractions like Srirangam Temple & Rockfort.

| Day 6: Trichy – Madurai |
|
|
After breakfast at hotel, leave by surface for Madurai. On arrival check in at hotel.
Afternoon city sightseeing tour visiting the Great Meenakshi temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering Gopurams (Rising high above the surrounding country side). Later visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace - a gracious building in the Indo Saracenic styule, famous for the stucco work on its domes and arches.

| Day 7: Madurai/ Rameshwaram/ Madurai (160 Km) |

| After breakfast at hotel, depart for a half day excursion to Rameshwaram Temple. Rameshwaram - According to the Hindu mythology i.e. the story of Ramayana Lord Rama performed thanksgiving rituals to Lord Rama after the battle at Sri Lanka and his triumph over the demon king Ravana. Owing to this Rameshwaram attracts Vaishnavites (worshippers of Lord Vishnu) and Saivites (worshippers of Lord Shiva) alike. In the evening we return to |

our hotel and if time permits assist the evening Aarti at Meenakshi temple, interesting ceremony of taking Lord Shiva in a procession with the musicians to the Goddess Parvati for the night halt.

| Day 8: Madurai / Periyar (140 km) |

After breakfast at hotel, leave by surface for Periyar en-route visit spice gardens.
Afternoon leave for boat cruise through the backwaters near Thekkady can prove to be a soul stirring tour with the cool crisp breeze caressing you while you are enjoying a heavenly sight with quacking ducks and dense palm groves casting their mystic shadows on the tranquil backwaters in Kerala, India.

| Day 9: Periyar - Alleppey (130 km) |

After breakfast at hotel, morning drive to Alleppey to board a rice boat and sail through the backwaters.

| Day 10: Backwater - Kumarakom (40 km) |
|
|

After breakfast at board down transfer to Kumarakom, on arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Kumarakom is a beautiful village set amidst the world famous Kerala backwaters.

| Day 11: Kumarakom - Cochin (110 km) |

After breakfast at hotel, depart by surface for Cochin, on arrival check in at hotel.
Afternoon visit Places to view such as The Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace, Fort Cochin. An excellent place to view Kathakali dancing (A unique motion of body and the facial features).

| Day 12: Cochin - Ooty (300 km) |

After breakfast at hotel, depart by surface for Ooty. On arrival check in at hotel. This city is also known as Udagamandalam the "Queen of hill stations" and the capital of Nilgiris district.

After breakfast at hotel, morning city tour of Ooty, later drive by surface for Mysore. On arrival check in at hotel.

| Day 14: Mysore - Hassan ( 98 Km) |

After breakfast at hotel, morning half day city sightseeing tour visiting the Palace of the Maharaja built in 1911-12. The Palace is of Harmonious domes, Turrets, Colonnades and sculptures which are Magnificient. Visit the art gallery, drive upto Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari temple and a panoramic view of Mysore. Also seethe the Nandi Bull.
We drive to Hassan and on arrival check in at hotel. Later there is a city tour of Hassan. |

| Day 15: Hassan - Belur - Halebid – Hassan |
|

After breakfast at hotel, full day excursion to Sravanbelagola, Belur and Halebid at Sravanbelagola, hewn out of a single Rock and visible from a distance of 25 kms is the statue of Lord Gomteshwara which is bathed with milk and honey once every 12 years. The Chenna Kesava temple of belur built 900 years ago is an exquisite example of Hoysala art. halebid's 12th century Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples are masterpieces of hindu art.

| Day 16: Hassan - Bangalore (200 km) |

After breakfast at hotel, depart by surface for Bangalore. Morning half day sightseeing tour of the "Garden city" visiting the Lal Bagh which has a variety of old trees, Fountains, Lotus pools, Terraces and an assortment of tropical herbs and sub-tropical herbs. Also see the government buildings and the Maharaja's palace.
Evening in time departure transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination. |
